TTE has continually designed and manufactured passive-Highpass filters since it was established in 1956. These products are available for any center frequency from 500Hz to 10GHz.
The passive-Highpass filters include Bessel, Butterworth, Chebyshev, Elliptical Function and Gaussian topologies.
Passive-Highpass Bessel Filters exhibit a constant time delay in the passband of the filter.
Passive-Highpass Butterworth Filters are more selective than Bessel Filters and offer both monotonic passband and stopbands.
Passive-Highpass Chebyshev Filters have a low ripple passband and monotonic stopbands. The passband ripple is 0.25dB typically.
Passive-Highpass Elliptical Function Filters offer better selectivity of the passive-Highpass filters. However, they have passband ripple and notches in the stopband. Typical ripple is +/-0.25dB.
Passive-Highpass Gaussian Filters are designed to pass a step function with zero overshoot and minimum rise. Similar to Bessel Filters the offer limited selectivity.
Note that passive-Highpass filters have not been broken out into separate Miniature and micro-miniature categories. All of our filters are offered in the smallest practical sizes available at TTE. All passive-Highpass filters are offered in PCB or SMT cases as well as Connectorized cases.
