TTE has continually designed and manufactured passive Bandpass filters since it was established in 1956. These products are available for any center frequency from 500Hz to 40GHz.
The passive Bandpass filters include Bessel, Butterworth, Chebyshev, Elliptical Function and Gaussian topologies.
Bessel Filters exhibit a constant time delay in the passband of the filter.
Butterworth Filters are more selective than Bessel Filters and offer both monotonic passband and stopbands.
Chebyshev Filters have a low ripple passband and monotonic stopbands. The passband ripple is 0.25dB typically.
Elliptical Function Filters offer better selectivity of the passive Bandpass filters, however, they have passband ripple and notches in the stopband. Typical ripple is +/-0.25dB.
Gaussian Filters are designed to pass a step function with zero overshoot and minimum rise. Similar to Bessel Filters the offer limited selectivity.
Note that passive Bandpass filters have not been broken out into separate Miniature and micro-miniature categories. All of our filters are offered the smallest practical sizes available at TTE. All passive Bandpass filters are offered in PCB or SMT cases as well as Connectorized cases.
