When TTE, Inc. was established in 1956, it was originally called, “TT Electronics Company.” The, “TT,” comes from the first type of filter that we manufactured, a “Twin-T” network. In1957, TT Electronics Company became, “TT Electronics, Incorporated.” Finally, in 1981, the company name changed to what it is today: TTE, Inc.

Why does TTE work a four-day week?

TTE works a four-day week for two reasons. First, we are located in Los Angeles, which means that traffic is a major factor in getting to and from work. At TTE, we decided to make the day ten-hours instead of the usual eight-hours so that getting to and from work is easier, less stressful, and less expensive. We found that the hours also reduced the amount of work related driving by twenty percent; a bonus for the environment as well as our employees. Secondly, by working ten-hours per day instead of eight, we get in the standard work week hours in four days instead of five.
